About the Role

Health Futures is seeking a Full Stack Python Developer with expertise in UI and cloud-based backend development to create scalable web applications using Python, React JS, and PostgreSQL. This role requires direct client-facing experience to understand business needs, communicate technical solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications using UI technologies such as HTML, Tailwind CSS, and React
Design and implement cloud-based backend solutions using Python Flask, RESTful APIs, and database management (SQL or NoSQL)
Develop serverless architectures using Azure Functions
Develop and maintain microservices architectures
Implement software development best practices, including version control (Git)
Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and translate business needs into technical solutions
Participate in client discussions, demos, and solution walkthroughs, ensuring clear communication of progress, risks, and outcomes
Work collaboratively with cross-functional internal and client teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
Participate in Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments is strongly preferred
Experience in the healthcare industry (any sub-domain) will be given preference
3+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience
Expertise in React, Python (Flask/FastAPI/Django/SQLAlchemy) and C#
Strong expertise with the Azure functions, event driven systems, especially serverless solutions
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and the ability to learn new systems and work independently
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that emphasises investigation and solution building
Strong ability to understand client requirements, propose solutions, and test outcomes
Confident, articulate, and professional in client interactions and presentations
Enthusiastic, positive, organized, patient, punctual, and empathetic
Takes personal ownership to deliver quality work within budget and timelines
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Able to manage ambiguity and evolving client needs
Proactively identifies emerging issues, risks, and trends to inform decision-making
