About the Role
Interstate Waste Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel vehicles, contributing to the company's mission of providing high-quality waste and recycling services.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine and transmission maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct chassis component repairs and maintenance, including air brakes, suspension, drivetrain, and steering.
- Maintain and repair exhaust systems equipped with DPF systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic.
- Hydraulics experience is required.
- Experience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar.
- Must be able to provide own tools.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
