About the Role

The Residence Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial, compliance, training, and staffing needs of multi-site programming within a designated area, creating a supportive and nurturing environment that ensures high-quality care and promotes independence and community integration for the persons supported.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the delivery of person-centered supports and services that enhance the quality of life for persons supported.
  • Providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight to residential staff through coaching, training, developing, and retaining employees.
  • Leading the residence plan for budgeting, incident management, and personal allowance according to Comprehensive Functional Plans, Life Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and Treatment Plans.
  • Conducting daily on-site observations to ensure residences are in working order.
  • Monitoring the demonstration of DSP competencies and skills by all employees to ensure ADL, clothing, financial, health needs, behavior management techniques, and emergency procedures are met.
  • Collaborating with nursing, clinical, and IDT departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Identifying and managing health trends of individuals by working with the DD team to prevent incidents or deterioration of living spaces.
  • Overseeing budget planning, financial operations, and resource allocation to optimize program sustainability and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Coordinating with ARM staffing levels to ensure appropriate service levels.
  • Identifying and facilitating staff training and development.
  • Conducting timely performance reviews to ensure employees are productive, accountable, and successful.
  • Managing overtime, staffing assignments, and documentation in Evolv.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with community partners, advocates, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with Incident/Fleet/Centralized Scheduler/HR/Facilities for necessary processes.
  • Monitoring for patterns and providing feedback for necessary action items.
  • Responding effectively to situations, implementing protocols in a calm and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in residential services.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within a developmental disabilities or social services agency.
  • Valid driver's license from NY, NJ, PA or CT with 6 points or less.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve conflicts, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate and dignified care for individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their rights, choices, and independence.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying challenges, implementing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and advocate for inclusive practices and community integration.
