Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains customer relationships at all levels within their district through regular customer visits.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with service and system performance.
  • Escalates system downs according to procedure to ensure prompt return to service and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Achieves guaranteed uptime and other customer-sold parameters.
  • Promotes quality improvement processes to reduce cycle time, drive continuous improvement of technical performance, and empower the workforce.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains customer engineers and technicians as needed.
  • Manages, coaches, and supervises professional and skilled individual contributors.
  • Responsible for salary planning, career planning, corrective actions, objective setting, and performance appraisals.
  • Ensures employee satisfaction through communication, goal setting, and career development plans.
  • Forecasts financial, manpower, and operational requirements for key businesses.
  • Identifies and pursues service agreement business in conjunction with marketing and sales.
  • Manages start-ups in terms of time and cost requirements.
  • Manages local inventories and RMA procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate safety practices among customer engineers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of other related job families.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.
  • Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives.
  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.

  • Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times.
