About the Role
The Auto Body Prepper prepares vehicles for refinishing by sanding, masking, and priming, ensuring quality repairs and contributing to the shop's KPIs and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surface for paint by masking the vehicle, priming, and adding top coat
- Apply all primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats, and clear coats
- Prep surface for paint using hand and power tools
- Identify any dirt or imperfection on surface of vehicle
- Evaluate bodywork to ensure a quality paint job
- Ensure consistent execution of tasks by adhering to high standards of quality and productivity
- Contribute to shop's efficiency and maintain a positive NPS by delivering high-quality, detailed work
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of Prepper experience
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage a fast paced environment
- Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift approximately 50 lbs
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver’s license required
