About the Role
The Auto Body Prepper prepares vehicles to ensure a quality refinish, working with team members to achieve repair facility KPIs. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and productivity, directly impacting shop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surface for paint by masking the vehicle, priming, and adding top coat
- Apply all primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats, and clear coats
- Prep surface for paint using hand and power tools
- Identify any dirt or imperfection on surface of vehicle
- Evaluate bodywork to ensure a quality paint job
- Ensure consistent execution of tasks by adhering to high standards of quality and productivity
- Work with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of Prepper experience
- Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift approximately 50 lbs.
- You have your own tools
- Valid driver’s license required
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage a fast paced environment

Salary/Compensations
- $17.75 per hour
- Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
