Responsibilities
- Support employee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing HR needs.
- Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records and HR documentation.
- Support HR communications, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.
- Assist with employee training, development, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Personnel Management Department.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle employee information in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental needs.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, employee administration, business administration, customer service, or a related field.
- IS-100.c – Introduction to Incident Command System training required prior to hire.
- IS-200.b – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents training required prior to hire.
- IS-700.b – National Incident Management System (NIMS) training required prior to hire.
- IS-800.c – National Response Framework training required prior to hire.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more and assist with loading and unloading cargo and response equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and operate in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to use multiple communication systems (cellular, radio, satellite).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Successful completion of required background checks and drug screenings upon hire and on a random basis during employment.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
- Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
