About the Role
L+M Development Partners is seeking a construction professional to oversee all field operations, ensuring compliance with contract documents, schedule, quality, safety, and budget. This role involves managing staff and subcontractors, developing logistics and safety plans, and ensuring efficient and safe construction practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all field operations, including supervision, organization, and direction of construction activities.
- Ensure field operations comply with contract documents, schedule, quality standards, safety standards, and budget.
- Manage multiple staff members.
- Organize and effectively utilize field manpower, including subcontractor personnel.
- Develop logistics plans with the project manager for safe and efficient subcontractor work.
- Implement and coordinate construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material/equipment requirements.
- Administer site safety and emergency plans, coordinating with subcontractors.
- Confirm timely completion of daily construction and incident reports.
- Manage onsite activities and administer contractual activities of subcontractors and vendors.
- Implement procedures to ensure continuous adherence to contract documents, schedule, quality standards, and budget.
- Communicate effectively with all project participants, demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Analyze and develop details per contract documents, producing new methods for work implementation as needed.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules.
- Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
- Recognize and evaluate problems to resolve issues efficiently, seeking assistance from supervisors when necessary.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards field work and demonstrate sound judgment in field decisions.
- Determine the priority of assignments based on critical deadlines.
- Develop and train subordinates.
Requirements
- Understanding of all phases of construction operations, including engineering disciplines, means and methods, and field management.
- Deep knowledge of safety compliance, including federal, state, and local safety codes.
- Ability to work independently.
- MS Word and Excel are required.
- AutoCAD is recommended.
