About the Role

The front desk staff provides a range of services and supervision to residents, aiming to help them live as safely and independently as possible while maintaining an environment of respect and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor resident well-being and building access.
  • Respond to emergency calls and implement emergency procedures.
  • Assist residents in obtaining needed services.
  • Record and refer requests for building repairs or services.
  • Monitor all persons entering or leaving the building.
  • Exercise authority to refuse entry based on building guidelines.
  • Monitor alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Notify super and/or manager of emergency situations.
  • Communicate emergency information clearly to authorities, tenants, and staff.
  • Perform building safety rounds.
  • Answer the facility telephone courteously and professionally.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities, occurrences, and observations.
  • Write clear and accurate reports of incidents and actions taken.
  • Ensure the front sidewalk is free of ice, snow, obstructions, and garbage.
  • Work as a team member to maintain a high level of care and respect for residents.
  • Share resident information with other staff in accordance with WSFSSH Confidentiality Policy.
  • Attend required training sessions and conferences.
  • Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Submit all required reports completely and on time.
  • Work cooperatively and collegially with other staff members.
  • Assist with other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Able to work in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Able to perform job responsibilities.
  • Able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Experience working with dependent persons.
