About the Role
As a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will shape market perception, drive product adoption, and influence how enterprise customers understand and use Fivetran+dbt Labs products. This strategic, cross-functional role requires deep technical understanding and the ability to communicate a big-picture vision, staying current with data, analytics, and AI trends.
Responsibilities
- Create high-impact technical collateral including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, and technical guides.
- Develop thought leadership that translates complex technical concepts into clear, value-based messaging for technical audiences.
- Review and edit materials across the product portfolio for technical accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment.
- Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform product positioning and messaging.
- Partner closely with Product Management to understand features, technical capabilities, and customer use cases.
- Develop how-to guides, demo videos, case studies, and technical whitepapers to support product adoption.
- Act as a technical marketing partner to GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Sales, and Enablement for launches and campaigns.
- Collaborate with Partner Marketing to showcase integrations and ecosystem partnerships.
- Operationalize technical product marketing best practices across teams.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in data integration, cloud data platforms, AI, and deployment models.
- Serve as a technical SME on the Fivetran platform, articulating its role in customers' data stacks.
- Provide best practices, reference architectures, and technical validation to support sales cycles.
- Represent Fivetran as a platform expert through events, presentations, and webinars.
- Support analyst relations and strategic conversations with detailed technical insights.
- Help position Fivetran as a foundational component of modern, scalable data infrastructure.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in product marketing, data engineering, product management, sales engineering, and/or data and analytics consulting.
- Data industry experience and expertise, including hands-on work with or knowledge of data integration, databases, and data warehouses.
- Technical aptitude and a desire to learn more about modern data infrastructure, data lakes, data integration, and cloud destinations.
- Proven experience partnering and coaching across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adaptable for different technical personas and mediums.
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple initiatives, communicate proactively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to gain a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of data engineers, data scientists, data architects, and technical stakeholders.
