About the Role
The Director of CAIT (Creators, Affiliates, Influencers, & Talent) oversees the EMEA CAIT team, reporting to the VP of CAIT EMEA and SVP, CAIT @ VaynerX. This leadership role sets the standard from brainstorm to final assets, ensuring output is cast for relevance, directed for quality, and optimized for views, in collaboration with the Creative department. The role involves overseeing strategy and operations for sourcing diverse makers and talent, bridging the CAIT team with cross-functional teams, and integrating the CAIT network into AIM and PAC workflows for Production Excellence. A key responsibility is leading specific key accounts to drive efficiencies and proactive problem-solving for productions that connect cultural signals and relevance across various agency functions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Client Partnerships, Strategy, and Creative leadership to architect CAIT-led campaigns.
- Translate high-level brand concepts into casting strategies, ensuring CAIT profiles and partners solve briefs and create ideas.
- Train the team to proactively pitch CAIT-led concepts in sync with Creative to drive business results.
- Define and enforce the standard for Excellence in delivered assets.
- Establish frameworks and training for Modern Production to guide creator talent toward performance metrics and optimization.
- Manage and develop the CAIT team, training them to think like Casting Directors & Producers.
- Oversee end-to-end operations of CAIT pillars, including contract negotiations, payment processing, and project timelines.
- Monitor the financial health of CAIT projects for EMEA and optimize workflows for efficiency and margin.
- Serve as the escalation point for CAIT negotiations or usage rights issues.
- Act as VaynerMedia’s internal authority on CAIT, assisting internal teams with CAIT scope and providing insights on creator trends.
- Represent VaynerMedia at industry panels, events, and new business pitches.
- Turn trends from the creator economy into actionable business opportunities for clients.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in social media, creative advertising, or talent management.
- Creative/Operator Hybrid: Possess taste level to improve creative work and operational skills to manage budget and timeline.
- The Seller Mindset: Comfortable articulating the business value of creators and defending creative decisions to clients.
- Practitioner Empathy: Understand the friction points of content creation and build workflows that remove barriers.
- Servant Leadership: Foster an environment that promotes health, development, and inclusivity.
- Emotional Intelligence: Identify and manage stress, fear, and anxiety within the team.
- Actively partner with recruiting to support Vayner’s talent practices.
- Clouds and Dirt: Balance high-level strategy with execution.
