About the Role

UGLYCASH is building financial services for a new generation of earners, particularly those earning online and across borders who have historically lacked access to stable currency, credit, and growth tools. We aim to replace fine print with transparency, discrimination with inclusion, and distant institutions with human connection.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow UGLYCASH's cross-platform social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and X.
Own and develop the ongoing narrative of UGLYCASH across social media.
Work closely with founders and team to identify compelling stories, personalities, moments, and ideas for content.
Develop recurring storylines, formats, and content arcs to encourage audience engagement.
Transform internal company events (launches, conversations, experiments, wins, failures, etc.) into engaging narratives.
Partner with the film creator to determine content capture and storytelling.
Develop and maintain the social content calendar and publishing schedule.
Stay informed about internet culture, identifying relevant trends and formats for UGLYCASH to participate in.
Continuously experiment with storytelling methods to understand audience resonance and evolve the narrative.

Requirements

Located in the United States and willing to relocate to San Francisco after hire (relocation support provided).
Strong storytelling ability with an instinct for engaging narratives.
Experience building and growing an audience, ideally across Instagram and a writing-led platform like Substack.
Ability to develop clear content pillars and recurring formats that establish a recognizable brand voice.
Proficiency in narrative thinking beyond individual posts.
Strong editorial and creative taste with an understanding of cultural relevance.
Deep understanding of internet culture and how users consume, share, and engage with online content.
Strategic and hands-on approach to shaping and executing content narratives.
