Responsibilities
- Oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement’s overall dementia care program.
- Provide coaching and leadership to associates who are caregivers within the community.
- Ensure Care Associates deliver person-centered programming, dining, and care.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on dementia training, pre-admission/move-in/move-out processes, hiring, and associate education regarding dementia care.
- Plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs tailored to resident needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of management and direct supervision experience preferred.
- Experience with residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
- Veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply.
- Qualified associates who have been with Brookdale for at least a year may receive up to $725 (less applicable taxes and withholding) for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs.
