About the Role

This position involves oversight of NYS T&I Quality Assurance and may include overseeing all NYS T&I Quality Managers, assigning Quality Managers to each NYS T&I Projects, and developing Quality Managers within the NYS T&I Region.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all NYS T&I Quality Managers and assign Quality Managers to each NYS T&I Projects.
  • Develop Quality Managers within NYS T&I Region.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards across contractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure compliance with client procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of process & procedure deficiencies, determine overlapping or redundant processes impacting the delivery of consistent quality product.
  • Review and approve project quality management plans.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews as required.
  • Assist with writing project proposals and preparing budgets.
  • Serve as Quality Manager on specific active projects.
  • Conduct Quality audits.
  • Provide Quality support during design and construction activities.
  • Attend meetings.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 12+ years of relevant post education experience in Quality Management
  • 5 years of managerial experience
  • ISO 9001 Certified Quality Manager
  • Experience in transportation, infrastructure, or governmental sectors
  • Must be able to effectively communicate information and ideas both orally and in writing
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
