About the Role
Refuah Health is seeking a full-time Rehab Aide to assist licensed physical and occupational therapists in treating patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. This role involves helping patients develop and improve skills for daily living and working through therapeutic activities.
Responsibilities
- Sets up patients for treatment as requested by the therapist.
- Prepares the patient treatment area with specific equipment and supplies for evaluations or follow-up sessions.
- Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment.
- Safeguards, motivates, and assists patients in practicing exercises and functional activities under therapist direction.
- Responds to patient phone calls and performs clerical duties.
- Cleans and organizes the treatment area and disinfects used equipment.
- Creates inventory lists and orders supplies.
- Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
- Checks crash cart daily and monthly to ensure appropriate supplies and restocks after use.
- Complies with applicable policies and procedures and supports the Compliance Program.
- Contributes to organizational operations by performing other required duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Knowledge of equipment and its use in assisting patients.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques for assisting patients or carrying heavy objects.
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and work effectively to solve problems.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity for clinical procedures.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Eligible to work in the US.
