About the Role

This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual mid-level donors to maximize organizational resources and engage new donors. It involves managing donor portfolios, conducting prospect research, and ensuring data integrity within the CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements short- and long-term strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual mid-level donors.
  • Oversees mid-level donor activities and communications to maximize organizational resources and engage new donors.
  • Creates strategies to increase identified and potential donor support.
  • Prepares analysis of fundraising activities for cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Implements strategies to elevate mid-level donors to major donor status.
  • Manages the Tier 1 (Community Supporters) donor portfolio ($1-$249), driving retention and new donor acquisition.
  • Conducts prospect research to identify and qualify new giving prospects, building donor profiles.
  • Leads donor services operations, including gift acknowledgments, cultivation strategy, moves management, and personalized donor touchpoints.
  • Ensures donor data integrity in the CRM and delivers data analytics and reporting.
  • Implements stewardship and touchpoint strategies for a caseload of mid-level donors and event attendees.
  • Manages and implements donor recognition benefits and provides unique engagement and cultivation opportunities for mid-level donors.
  • Builds audiences by gathering data from the donor database to assess prospects, create prospect lists, and coordinate prospect review.
  • Ensures donor cultivation opportunities are maximized and record-keeping is integrated into the donor database system.
  • Enters donor data for assigned donor portfolio into Interchange, including contact, gift, communication, and Moves Management planning information.
  • Implements communications plan for mid-level donors to steward them toward continued and increased giving.
  • Assists with and maintains Interchange (Territorial Donor Management System).
  • Coordinates constituent updates and additions in the database, performs troubleshooting, merges duplicate records, and corrects data entry errors.
  • Serves as Area Command contact for mid-level donor data in Interchange, creating, enabling, resetting, and removing user accounts and roles.
  • Conducts research on prospects including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Prepares monthly reports illustrating progress.
  • Maintains and manages accurate donor records in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, marketing, communication, liberal arts, or related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in donor development, donor support, or related field.
  • Prior donor management and donor database experience.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language effectively.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles.
  • Conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.
  • Work may be performed in an office environment or other locations due to travel requirements.
