About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own and drive products from design to development to testing and production. You will collaborate with product managers to understand user needs, propose technical solutions, guide junior engineers, and report on impact. This is an in-office role focused on high-energy, collaborative, and cross-functional work.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive products from design to development to testing to production.

- Build products to create a frictionless, efficient, and delightful end-to-end delivery experience for merchants and their customers.
- Design robot interactions around user pain points and moments of delight.
- Build and manage software partnerships for order ingestion from major platforms.
- Build backend services for automated delivery decisions.
- Partner with other teams to tackle efficiency and profitability initiatives.
- Enable human operators to manage a fleet of delivery robots.
- Maintain a mobile native app for Field Operations.
- Maintain a web app for remote Pilots.
- Architect and build backend services that communicate with devices and track telemetry.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and leading the implementation of new platform features and services, including their deployment in AWS.
- Experience supporting business-critical services in production (1+ yr).
- Experience developing backend services in Go (preferred) or strong fluency in a comparable ecosystem like Python, Java, Rust, or C++, with a willingness to work primarily in Go.
- SQL database fundamentals (1+ yr).
- Experience with at-least one message queue or pub/sub framework such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience working in a startup environment.
