About the Role

We are looking for an experienced planner/strategist to join The LEGO Agency to create engaging and effective communications strategies across all touchpoints for kids, adults, and the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Create and define multichannel communications plans combining owned, earned, paid, and shared media.
  • Bring big ideas to life across our ecosystem in key campaign periods and across the year, through clear, compelling and connected user journeys across multiple touchpoints.
  • Combine creativity and effectiveness through strong understanding of audiences, touchpoints, and channel thinking.
  • Apply understanding of how brands grow and how effective comms create impact and get results.
  • Use data and research to inform approach, whilst being open to creative innovation and exploration.
  • Utilize strong storytelling, persuasive pitching, and partner engagement to gain team buy-in.
  • Help to craft and develop planning processes and collaboration across marketing and channel teams.
  • Support colleagues to refine their thinking and build relationships across LEGO to create engaging experiences.
  • Demonstrate interest and curiosity about the world, challenge existing views, and bring new perspectives to how we work.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a communications planning or strategy role, responsible for channel and campaign planning, and communication architecture.
  • Experience using data-driven planning tools, audience insight (qual and quant), and effectiveness data to build plans.
  • Experience working within defined planning processes.
  • Experience working with channels/media owners to develop creative and executional thinking.
  • Ability to stay ahead and move with consumer behaviors, technology platforms, and cultural shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and emotional.
  • Desire to stay close to projects throughout their life-cycle to maintain strategic and creative excellence.
  • Passion for creating communication work that has an impact, that matters, and that’s memorable.
  • Experience within a global strategy/planning context or working within a multiple markets/regional capacity is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills are preferred.
  • Experience with big team and cross-org collaborations is preferred.
