About the Role
BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a team member to process member purchases, verify and offer membership products, scan merchandise, and accept payments. This role provides excellent member service efficiently and maintains the cleanliness of the front-line department.

- Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payment.

- Maintain visible and accurate signage.
- Keep the club clean and organized, inside and out.
- Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
- See the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact.
- Exhibit clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including renewals and upgrades.
- Offer all appropriate membership products, including renewals, EASY renewal, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption.
- Check Members out in a timely and efficient manner.
- Scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory and purchase totals.
- Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations.
- Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments.
- Issue receipts or change due to Members.
- Stay up to date on all merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information.
- Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons.
- Assist in general club housekeeping when necessary.
- Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor area.
- Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes.
- Assist Members with operations and technical difficulties.
- Meet cashier productivity expectations.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
Requirements
- Basic math skills preferred.
- Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, is valued.
- Application should reflect authentic skills, experiences, and insights.
