About the Role
Questrade is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Senior Mortgage Agent to join their growing mortgage brokerage. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients across digital channels, guiding them through their home financing journey. You will assess financial needs, pre-qualify applicants, and guide clients through underwriting with clarity and exceptional service. Partnering closely with internal operations, tech teams, and lender networks, you will help refine digital tools and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact via phone, email, and live chat, answering inbound inquiries and proactively engaging prospective applicants to guide them through their mortgage journey.
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to analyze income, credit profiles, and overall financial goals, matching clients with suitable mortgage products.
- Educate clients on mortgage products, rates, lending criteria, and documentation requirements.
- Pre-qualify and pre-approve applicants, efficiently gathering and verifying required financial and property documentation to prepare clean, compliant files for submission.
- Partner closely with internal underwriters, lenders, and closing teams to resolve conditions, clear operational roadblocks, and ensure timely file completion.
- Provide actionable feedback to technology, product, and operations teams to refine point-of-sale (POS) systems, CRM workflows, and digital client tools.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in the CRM while ensuring strict adherence to provincial mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree/diploma in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Possess a Valid Level 2 Mortgage Agent License in Ontario. Multi-Jurisdiction Licensing (Alberta/BC) preferred.
- Bring 2+ years of experience as a licensed Mortgage Agent or Specialist, preferably within a digital-first or high-volume environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), point-of-sale tools (Finmo, Filogix, Velocity), telephony systems, and digital communication platforms.
- Maintain a willingness to work flexible shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet client needs.
