About the Role
KRUSH Tech is building its U.S. operations from the ground up, focusing on advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), autonomy, and sensing technologies. This role involves hands-on work building, integrating, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical assemblies while mentoring other technicians. It's an opportunity to shape a new manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on build, integration, test, and rework of KRUSH UAS electromechanical assemblies and subsystems
- Mentor and train Mid- and Senior-level technicians on standard work, build procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models with minimal supervision; flag discrepancies to engineering
- Serve as the floor-level point of contact for build issues, escalating and driving root cause investigation and corrective action (CAPA)
- Coordinate daily work assignments and priorities across the technician team in partnership with the Production Supervisor
- Perform electrical debug using standard tools (digital multimeter, continuity and insulation testers) and mechanical/electrical assembly troubleshooting
- Support prototype-to-production transition, including refining work instructions and control plans as processes mature
- Ensure IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards are met and enforced across the team
- Actively participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, and drive safety compliance on the floor
- Complete transactions in production systems (ERP/MES) on a daily basis
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, or another high-precision manufacturing environment, including prior lead or mentoring experience
- Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models with minimal supervision
- Strong hands-on skills in electro-mechanical assembly, electrical debug, and wiring/harness fabrication
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards
- Experience training, mentoring, or leading other technicians
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities (ITAR)
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent military/technical training (Preferred)
- Forklift and/or 3A hoisting certification (Preferred)
- Prototype-to-production transition experience (Preferred)
- Experience in an AS9100 manufacturing environment (Preferred)
- Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or another export-controlled manufacturing environment (Preferred)
