About the Role
Mirantis is repositioning from a private cloud infrastructure leader to a full-stack AI infrastructure company. This role requires a VP of Marketing to rapidly shift market perception, focusing on AI infrastructure, GPUs, orchestration, models, and inferencing. The ideal candidate will have experience building company gravity and establishing a brand at the center of industry conversations. This position owns marketing for both Enterprise and CSP/Neocloud businesses, reporting to the SVP & GM, with potential for executive leadership based on impact.
Responsibilities
- Reposition the company from "private cloud infrastructure" to "full-stack AI infrastructure" in market perception.
- Build company gravity by securing analyst and ecosystem conversations, and getting Mirantis onto buyer shortlists.
- Craft and own the strategic narrative for open, vendor-agnostic AI infrastructure.
- Manage marketing for both Enterprise (long-cycle, ABM) and CSP/Neocloud (fast-moving, reputation-driven) business motions with a unified brand.
- Demonstrate impact with documented artifacts like case studies and metrics.
- Lead and reshape the existing marketing team, assessing, developing, and replacing talent as needed.
- Build and activate an industry ecosystem, forging partnerships with players like NVIDIA and Neoclouds.
- Drive joint go-to-market motions with partners and act as a connector in the AI infrastructure industry.
Requirements
- Experience during the cloud-native rise, understanding Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure orchestration.
- Deep understanding of AI infrastructure, including GPU orchestration, AI clouds, model serving, and inferencing.
- Experience with or knowledge of companies like CoreWeave, Nebius, Crusoe, Together.ai, Fireworks.ai, BaseTen, Modal, Northflank, VAST, Netris, ClearML, NVIDIA, AWS, Red Hat, Rancher, HPE, or Dell.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a preference for high-growth startups and a bias for speed and judgment.
- Proven track record of driving specific launches, campaigns, positioning shifts, or brand moments with measurable outcomes.
- Sufficient technical depth to be credible with infrastructure engineers and AI researchers.
- Ability to operate with a moderate budget and make strategic trade-offs.
- Comfortable with travel.
