About the Role

CKD USA Corporation is seeking a driven Procurement Specialist to identify, plan, select, and purchase materials for the Semiconductor Business Unit. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and thrives under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Determine strategic purchasing needs for the semiconductor business unit based on customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with production control, sales, and engineering teams to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels.
  • Negotiate pricing and payment terms with vendors.
  • Administer project supply, services, and purchase orders.
  • Provide cost management and analyze pricing change impacts.
  • Coordinate with sales for quotes and pricing, and with engineering for RMAs and defects.
  • Manage inventory and assist in material receipt, maintaining detailed records.
  • Monitor deliveries and track past-due shipments.
  • Build supplier relationships and manage their performance.
  • Conduct supplier business reviews to evaluate performance and compliance.
  • Maintain a professional image and make decisions aligned with company policies.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous purchasing experience in a similar industry and office environment.
  • Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Understanding and experience with purchasing contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, customer service, and consulting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience working across various functions, businesses, and regions.
  • Previous international purchasing experience is a plus.
  • Japanese bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment eligibility verification required.
  • Participates in the E-Verify program.
