About the Role

Join a team of tech-enthusiast engineers and contribute to developing a multinational drone early warning system in the defense sector. You will be part of a pragmatic, smart, and innovative team focused on cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

Develop a multi-sensor perception and fusion system for a drone early warning system with a learning map architecture.
Own the architecture across the entire device tech stack and influence hardware, platform, and AI teams.
Integrate software onto diverse hardware devices.
Perform system monitoring, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve observability.
Optionally support on-site deployments, collect sensor data, and validate technology in field trials.

Requirements

EU citizenship is a prerequisite due to security regulations.
Official registration in an EU country.
Minimum 10 years of professional IT experience (e.g., Software Engineering).
Minimum 7 years of full-time professional experience as an Embedded Engineer.
Minimum 3 years of full-time professional experience with a production Real-Time Operating System (Zephyr).
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the IoT field.
Minimum 2 consecutive years of employment with the same employer.
Fluent English; additional spoken languages are a plus.
Willingness to work in the defense sector.
Thrive in a dynamic startup or scaleup environment.
Motivated to work exclusively operationally and hands-on (not management) for the next 3-5 years.
Ideally, willingness to travel to Berlin for field trials 2-3 days per month.
