About the Role
Microchip Technology Inc. has an Engineer I-Product/Test opening in the Networking & Connectivity Solutions (NCS) Business Unit. In this role, you will help develop, characterize, qualify, and release industry-leading connectivity products including Ethernet, USB, and PCIe solutions while working with global cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in semiconductor product development and work on next-generation networking and connectivity technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support new product introduction from silicon bring-up through production release.
- Perform product characterization, qualification, and yield analysis.
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions and test programs.
- Analyze electrical and manufacturing data to identify and resolve product issues.
- Collaborate with design, validation, quality, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
- Drive improvements in product quality, test efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters.
- Programming or scripting experience (Python, C/C++, VBA, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated individual contributor with the ability to work proactively in a collaborative environment.
- Strong teamwork, organization, multitasking, communication, and active listening skills.
- Technical writing and editing experience with the ability to create clear engineering documentation.
- Excellent written, proof-reading, and verbal English communication skills.
- Prior intern experience in Electronics.
