About the Role
The Cloud Engineering Security team builds and scales secure cloud infrastructure, developing security-by-design solutions across cloud environments. This role supports efforts to optimize traffic flow, enhance system performance, and ensure scalable and secure network operations, requiring a foundational understanding of networking and proficiency in C++, Go, and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of solutions to manage network traffic efficiently
- Contribute to improving network operations efficiency and performance
- Utilize C++ and Go to support the creation of robust applications
- Help deploy and oversee scalable systems, focusing on Kubernetes CNI, IPAM and Service Mesh management
- Integrate and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions and learn from senior engineers
- Participate in open-source projects to keep eBay at the forefront of technology
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields
- 5 years in networking and traffic management
- Proficiency in C++ and Go, Kubernetes, Kubernetes CNI, and IPAM management
