About the Role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with Allied Universal. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access activity and report unauthorized entry attempts, facility concerns, and suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
