About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in educational facilities as an Unarmed Security Officer. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and assist students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain professional communication with school personnel.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
