About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Part Time Enhanced position in Bronx, NY. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with the opportunity to supplement income, gain experience, or work towards a full-time career. You will have a fixed shift commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a healthcare and residential care location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner according to site procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
