About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report suspicious activity, and assist guests, employees, and tenants with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to retail clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, stockrooms, employee areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access, and report observations according to site procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence to help deter theft, disturbances, and other unwanted activity while supporting a positive shopping environment.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
