About the Role

As a Manager, Strategic Initiatives, you will play a key role in advancing the strategic priorities of Scotia Financial Planning across Canada. You will support initiatives that enhance the advisor and employee experience, improve business effectiveness, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change, support innovation, and help shape the future of Scotia Financial Planning through strategic thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Supports the design, development, and execution of strategic initiatives aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Partners with stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment, engagement, and successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Supports change management, communications, learning, and adoption activities related to new programs, processes, and tools.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve advisor and employee experiences, business effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Leverages data, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices to develop recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Champions a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across Scotia Financial Planning.
  • Manages multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into practical, actionable solutions.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate across multiple business functions.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives, business transformation, process improvement, or change management activities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, resilient, and results-oriented.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and driving business outcomes.
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required.

Skills

  • Wealth Management industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
