About the Role
Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, is seeking high-energy, self-motivated individuals for its Austin-based Inside Sales team. This role supports existing field sales, operational, and marketing initiatives by building relationships with Healthcare Practices nationwide. The position is quota-driven and incentivized, requiring a focus on phone and other channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with healthcare professionals to achieve brand objectives.
Responsibilities
- Use inside sales techniques to ensure positive results for a targeted list of healthcare professionals, offering product information, literature, and samples.
- Facilitate account management, including account planning, field resource coordination, closing, customer education, and reporting.
- Establish a commanding and engaging phone presence to create rapport, network, and build productive business relationships.
- Demonstrate clinical, technical, and presentation skills.
- Identify, prioritize, and drive opportunities to create access, programs, and processes that drive product demand.
- Engage targeted healthcare professionals in in-depth informational/promotional communications.
- Verify and complete required data entry, ensuring data integrity.
- Profile and manage targeted healthcare professionals to grow product volume.
- Maintain call productivity and metrics per established goals.
- Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and achieve sales objectives.
- Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions.
- Maintain required product expertise, including competitive product knowledge.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of products and communicate information accurately using proper medical terminology.
- Successfully complete product training and meet expectations.
- Travel as assigned for in-field vacancy coverage and/or national conferences.
- Demonstrate effectiveness working independently and in a team environment.
- Meet and exceed established daily and monthly call volume metrics.
- Introduce, establish, grow, and retain relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Process customer requests for product samples and literature in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Answer questions related to securing product samples and literature.
- Provide information on additional product resources, such as websites.
- Project a professional company image through all phone interactions.
- Establish ongoing relationships with clients by providing prompt and accurate service.
- Display a positive attitude and customer focus, resolving customer issues promptly.
- Manage call activity and phrasing in sync with approved best practices and compliance regulations.
- Maintain training material, keeping current with updates.
- Communicate effectively and timely with the Inside Sales Manager.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
- Mentor and coach less experienced Inside Sales Representatives.
- Assist the team manager with escalations and complex issue management when unavailable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years of relevant sales experience is required.
- Proven sales track record.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in an environment incentivized by established goals and metrics.
- Ability to work independently, highly organized, and possess superior communication skills.
- Experience in the healthcare industry involving interaction with physicians, patients, etc. is preferred.
