About the Role

This role is based in London, Bristol or Edinburgh and requires an existing right to work in the UK. At this time, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Responsibilities

  • Own the People service desk queue day-to-day: triaging, responding to, and resolving employee queries, and keeping response times and queue health on track.
  • Continuously improve our Jira Service Desk itself - refining triage, workflows, and automations - and feed recurring ticket themes back into our People Bot's knowledge base.
  • Be the main point of contact for new joiners between offer and day one, partnering with Talent Acquisition to make pre-boarding seamless.
  • Own and continuously improve the onboarding experience end-to-end - from offer acceptance to day one and beyond.
  • Support payroll inputs, benefits administration, and compliance activities, ensuring processes align with internal policy and employment law.
  • Audit and redesign People processes, identifying opportunities for automation, AI, or self-service.
  • Participate in cross-functional People projects such as Reward cycles, hiring initiatives, or experience improvements.

Requirements

  • Existing right to work in the UK.
  • Some experience in a People Operations or HR administrative role.
  • Hands-on comfort with a HRIS, ideally Workday.
  • Detail-oriented approach to data.
  • Some exposure to payroll input processes, or strong eagerness to learn them.
  • Some experience administering employee benefits (enrolment, changes, queries).
  • Experience using a service desk tool (Jira or similar) to manage and triage a queue.
  • Awareness of compliance and employment law basics.
  • Clear, warm communication skills.
