About the Role
The Axel Springer Academy of Journalism & Technology is seeking a working student to support the editorial team of B.Z. in shaping the daily editorial work and advancing digital journalism with innovative ideas. The Academy combines journalistic excellence, digital innovation, and the use of new technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Support the B.Z. editorial team in topic identification, research, and preparation of current news and stories.
- Monitor and analyze trends in society, politics, media, technology, and artificial intelligence.
- Utilize existing tools to prepare images, texts, and graphics for the print edition and participate in further development.
- Prepare information, background material, and research for editorial projects.
- Contribute own ideas to further develop journalism, digital products, and editorial processes.
Requirements
- Currently studying Journalism, Media or Communication Studies, Public Relations, or a comparable field of study.
- Ideally, have prior experience in an editorial office, content creation, or social media management.
- Passionate about news, media, and current societal topics.
- Enjoys research, thinks journalistically, and is motivated to drive topics independently.
- Excellent German language skills (minimum C1) and good English language skills.
