About the Role
GardaWorld Security Services is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time role. The ideal candidate will be able to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly, demonstrating a keen sense of observation.
Responsibilities
- Conducting post checks of officers under your supervision
- Training new officers
- Ensure 100% site coverage to prevent dark posts
- Issue corrective action forms (CAFs)
- Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have one year of armed security experience
- Must have active exposed firearm permit
- State security license
- Additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (can be obtained during hiring)
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be able to provide documentation of HS Diploma or GED
- First aid certification is an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus
