About the Role

Hudson Valley Community College is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join our Faculty team. Teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online. This is a full-time probationary, tenure-track position.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in Surgical Technology Courses.
Evaluate Student performance.
Participation on departmental, division wide, and College wide committee for the purpose of building community.
Perform duties as specified in the Faculty contract at the direction of the Department Chairperson.

Requirements

Must meet minimum qualifications as stated in the announcement.
Must currently hold unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
Appointment is contingent upon completion of a background check.
Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting/Surgical Technology from an accredited college or university or a Registered Nurse.
Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Minimum of two years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
Previous experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning initiatives is preferred.
