About the Role

Develop your book of business with our intermodal, highway and drayage capabilities. You will have the systems and support needed to grow in an ever-changing marketplace. Your customers will be introduced to national networks of port drayage, transload, over the road and intermodal. It is a great opportunity for those who thrive by solving customers’ problems.

Responsibilities

Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building strong working relationships
Prepare and provide accurate quotes to customers and follow up to convert opportunities into booked shipments
Build shipments and track containers and trucks from origin to final delivery
Proactively communicate shipment status, delays, and milestones to keep customers informed
Identify, vet, and build relationships with carriers to support brokerage capacity and coverage
Book and track over-the-road truckload shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery
Identify and develop cross-dock and transload partnerships and capacity to support customer freight flows
Research current market rates and available capacity to support competitive, accurate pricing and sourcing decisions
Coordinate and dispatch loads to Port X's drayage asset locations
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across our TMS and CRM platforms
Maintain accurate and timely data entry across internal systems
Manage billing processes and proof of delivery (POD) documentation to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
Maintain and manage customer-facing portals to ensure visibility and data accuracy for our clients

Requirements

Strong communication skills
Technical computer skills
2+ years of proven success in freight brokerage or dray brokerage
Established shipper relationships with a track record of growing a book of business
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
Industry knowledge of Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing
Strong negotiation skills and a competitive, results-driven mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TMS platforms (or a fast learner)
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
