About the Role
St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist nurses in providing patient care, promoting patient comfort, well-being, and safety. The role involves assisting with patient transport, observing patient conditions, documenting care in electronic medical records, and responding promptly to patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living to promote comfort, well-being, and safety.
- Assist in receiving and transporting patients.
- Participate in observing patient conditions and report changes to the primary nurse.
- Document patient care and unit tasks in electronic medical records.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and communicate patient/family requests or concerns.
- Demonstrate competency in care procedures such as foley catheter insertion, enemas, and vital signs measurement.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CPR certification required.
