About the Role
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for a Part Time Enhanced position in New York, NY. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with the opportunity to supplement income, gain experience, or work towards a full-time career. You will have a fixed shift commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a government healthcare location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, public areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
