About the Role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate regarding access-related issues, outages, and incident response.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
