About the Role
The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with Allied Universal. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions or behavior, and document incidents in accordance with site procedures.
- Support a welcoming educational environment by communicating professionally with school personnel and following directions from site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
