About the Role
Five Below is seeking a detail-oriented individual to coordinate CPSC compliance initiatives, track regulatory notices, and support product incident investigations. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet all federal, state, and local compliance regulations, contributing to a safe and compliant product offering.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate CPSC compliance initiatives, including eFiling activities and submissions to the CPSC Product Registry.
- Track and help resolve regulatory notices, including California Proposition 65 notices and factory URN registrations.
- Communicate compliance product holds and release statuses to internal stakeholders.
- Follow up with vendors, Buying teams, and internal partners to obtain compliance information and escalate overdue items.
- Gather, organize, and maintain documentation to support regulatory reporting and compliance program requirements.
- Maintain accurate product attributes and compliance data within Bamboo Rose and other company systems.
- Support product incident investigations, recalls, and corrective actions by maintaining documentation and coordinating follow-ups.
- Monitor existing and emerging federal, state, and local product compliance regulations and summarize potential impacts.
- Participate in industry webinars and seminars to stay informed of regulatory trends.
- Support compliance training, internal communications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of product compliance regulations and standards, including CPSIA, FD&C Act, ASTM standards, California Proposition 65, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
- Ability to learn regulatory requirements and communicate guidance clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred, including data organization, report creation, and regulatory reporting support.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience managing and analyzing data from multiple sources and maintaining accurate records.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle, quality, compliance, or vendor management systems such as Bamboo Rose and Inspectorio preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various internal departments and external partners.
- Philadelphia-based or able to work from the Philadelphia office as required.
