About the Role
The System Operations Strategy and Analytics Analyst provides operational support to the JetBlue System Operations Center (SOC), enhancing data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. This role leverages data and technology to support operational excellence and system efficiency, acting as a bridge between Operations and Planning teams to streamline processes and implement scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational performance and assess constraints impacting efficiency.
- Drive the development and adoption of capabilities, dashboards, and decision-support tools for the SOC and broader operations.
- Partner with and liaise between operating groups to align tactical execution and strategic objectives.
- Act as a key liaison between operational teams and data experts to develop and implement policies, strategies, processes, and technologies.
- Support strategic planning for operational reliability across multiple teams.
- Conduct reviews and analyses to support the SOC and build a more resilient schedule.
- Support SOC Weekly Operations Reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide subject matter expertise in operational data, partnering with stakeholders to ingest and develop insights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least four (4) years of previous related work experience.
- Two (2) years of quantitative and analytical experience or coursework.
- Proficiency in database querying (e.g., SQL).
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python or R).
- Proficiency in statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical issues assertively and tactfully.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
