About the Role
Seeking a Fixed Income Trader for the Investment Grade Credit Desk within the Global Fixed Income Trading team. This role offers significant opportunity to add value to the business through contributions to IG investment teams and the broader credit and FI platform. The position reports to the Head of US HY Trading and collaborates with senior traders, portfolio managers, analysts, and quantitative research.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance understanding of fixed income markets, investment philosophies, and portfolio strategies.
- Execute orders and source liquidity consistent with best execution, risk management practices, policies, and procedures.
- Drive the investment process by collaborating with senior traders, portfolio managers, and analysts, and sharing market views in strategy discussions.
- Enhance trading and investment process efficiency and mitigate operational risk by working with senior traders.
- Gather, analyze, and disseminate market and security information to identify trade ideas and investment opportunities.
- Represent AB to the sell-side, fostering new and leveraging existing trading relationships.
Requirements
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical skills with practical application.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in a credit trading role, with preference for IG or HY US markets exposure.
- Experience leveraging top LLM models for data-driven insights.
- Programming skills (Python & SQL) are a plus but not required.
