About the Role
Rental Return Agents ensure rental vehicles are returned promptly, inspected, and prepared for subsequent rentals. This role involves customer interaction, processing agreements and payments, and conducting vehicle inspections. Agents may also assist with directions, travel information, and resolving customer issues, requiring excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers returning rental vehicles
- Inspecting vehicles for damages or issues, documenting them, and assessing charges
- Outlining and clarifying final charges to customers and collecting rental agreement signatures
- Providing assistance with directions and travel information
- Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and ensuring vehicles are prepared for the next rental
- Maintaining accurate records and completing paperwork
- Resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring the rental car lot is organized and well-maintained
- Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- 1-2 years of prior customer service experience, preferably in car rental, retail, or hospitality
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Openness to working flexible schedules, including weekends
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented approach
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and perform well in a fast-paced setting
