About the Role
Join All Options as a Senior Performance Engineer in Austin, TX, to understand and optimize our trading stack end-to-end. You will be the go-to person for resolving performance issues during trading hours, working closely with traders and engineers to ensure seamless trade execution and system stability.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across proprietary trading systems under live market conditions, including order entry, market data, execution, and risk.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing team tools, workflows, and operational processes.
- Provide daily support for proprietary trading systems, managing incident tracking and reporting.
- Build and enhance monitoring tools and dashboards to correlate system performance with trading outcomes.
- Own incident response end-to-end, including triage, escalation, timelines, postmortems, and follow-up engineering.
- Translate business and trading needs into technical designs and participate in long-term platform planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study.
- 5 or more years of experience in technical support, production engineering, or related roles, including team leadership.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Linux OS.
- Ability to communicate clearly with traders and developers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in technical support and leading a customer support team is a plus.
- Experience with C++ or Rust is a plus.
- Previous experience in a financial or trading environment is a plus.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States.
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
