About the Role
The Senior Director, Growth Technology & Platforms will lead the MarTech Engineering, Marketing Data Foundations, Technical Program Management, and Organic Growth teams. This role involves setting strategy and roadmaps, making prioritization and investment decisions, and connecting business needs to scalable technology and growth solutions. You will lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10 people, fostering collaboration and technical excellence across engineering, data, program management, and organic growth disciplines. The role is part of Match Group’s Global Media & Growth organization, supporting a portfolio of consumer brands.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for the Growth Technology & Platforms function.
- Translate brand and portfolio growth needs into scalable capabilities and measurable impact.
- Make thoughtful build, buy, and partner decisions to maximize technology investment value.
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary organization spanning engineering, data foundations, technical program management, and Organic Growth.
- Establish clear ownership, strong operating rhythms, and a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and business impact.
- Lead an integrated platform function to build shared technology, data, and delivery foundations for measurement, audiences, activation, experimentation, and creative technology.
- Establish a scalable operating model aligning technical capacity with high-value brand and portfolio needs.
- Build a centralized capability across SEO, ASO, GEO, and AI Search to position Match Group for the next era of organic discovery.
- Develop the team, tooling, and playbooks to help brands act on emerging opportunities and scale learning across the portfolio.
- Scale AI-enabled capabilities across campaign automation and performance intelligence.
- Identify and advance human-in-the-loop and agentic solutions to improve Growth team planning, execution, and decision-making.
- Partner with brand and functional leaders across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, Analytics, and AI/ML to identify opportunities and mobilize teams.
- Build alignment around shared priorities and connect expertise across the organization to accelerate impact.
Requirements
- 12+ years in marketing technology, growth engineering, or platform leadership.
- Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, data, program management, product, or growth.
- Experience leading a platform or technology capability with a clear roadmap, prioritization model, and accountability for business impact.
- Experience making build, buy, and partner decisions, including managing technology vendors.
- Technical depth to engage credibly with senior engineers, evaluate architecture and platform tradeoffs, and understand modern growth ecosystem components.
- Experience partnering closely with Analytics, Advanced Data Science, Applied Science, or ML teams, translating needs into technical requirements, and operationalizing model outputs.
- Experience supporting consumer growth or performance marketing ecosystems, including mobile marketing, paid media activation, first-party signals, and audience infrastructure.
- Experience applying automation, predictive intelligence, or AI-enabled workflows to marketing or growth use cases.
- Ability to move between executive-level strategy and operating detail.
- Ability to drive complex initiatives in matrixed organizations.
- Ability to communicate decisions, tradeoffs, and investment recommendations clearly to senior leaders.
