About the Role

The Finance and Insurance Manager structures car deals for clients with average to above credit, in compliance with finance lender guidelines and auto dealership policies, resulting in quick funding and a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves handling customer deliveries through the F&I department, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and building relationships with lending institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the delivery of customers through the dealership's finance and insurance (F&I) department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in securing financing and insurance options.
  • Present and explain financing and insurance options to customers clearly and transparently.
  • Build and maintain relationships with lending institutions to secure competitive financing rates.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing automotive finance and insurance.
  • Work closely with sales personnel to provide finance options that meet customers' needs.
  • Review and approve financing deals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in financing and insurance practices.
  • Structure deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Verify accuracy of all material information on the credit application and submit to lender.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Disclose financial information to customers.
  • Evaluate new lender programs.
  • Train administrative personnel on assembling funding packages.
  • Review funding packages prior to mailing.
  • Show and demonstrate vehicles when necessary.
  • Design and place advertising for special finance.
  • Analyze credit reports and recognize conventional deals.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis and strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and industry legislation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to point, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the hands/wrists.
  • Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Light exertion can involve sitting, walking and/or standing most of the time.
