About the Role
Fanatics is seeking a temporary hands-on learning leader to establish the Learning & Development function for Fanatics VIP, the team dedicated to serving the company's highest-value customers. This 3-month contract role involves designing and building growth paths beyond initial onboarding, creating a new Acquisition onboarding journey, and enhancing existing programs.
Responsibilities
- Design the VIP Learning Architecture, including learner journeys, content, modality, measurement, and communications for Account Manager, Acquisition Rep, and non-customer-facing tracks.
- Map learning progression from day one through the first year, covering onboarding milestones, upskilling, and manager development.
- Define tenure- or role-gated learning versus open access, ensuring clarity for future application.
- Build the live and virtual training calendar, specifying session owner, facilitator, audience, cadence, and prerequisites.
- Build Acquisition Onboarding from the ground up, including a 30/60/90-day flow with stage owners, practice reps, and readiness bars.
- Sequence system access, meetings, and licensing to optimize new hire learning.
- Design a manager playbook for Acquisition hiring managers and onboarding leads.
- Refresh the existing Account Manager flow based on audit findings.
- Author content, extracting knowledge from VIP leaders and transforming it into eCourses, job aids, facilitator guides, slides, and practice scenarios.
- Build content using Articulate Rise or equivalent tools, adhering to the FBG learning voice and ensuring relevance to VIP's actual context.
- Pilot high-priority programming with real learners and stakeholders.
- Collect feedback, iterate on content, and report on program effectiveness.
- Deliver a comprehensive handoff package, including all built assets, recommendations, and requirements for program sustainment (staffing, resourcing, content maintenance).
Requirements
- Senior L&D or instructional design experience, including building a learning function from scratch for a VIP, host, or high-value customer organization.
- Direct experience in regulated online sports betting or iGaming, with working knowledge of Responsible Gaming, KYC, and AML obligations for customer-facing teams.
- Hands-on authoring capability using Articulate Rise or an equivalent tool.
- Proven ability to extract information from subject matter experts and create usable learning materials under deadline.
- Strong facilitation skills and experience leading live sessions with senior audiences.
- Comfort operating with speed and ambiguity.
- Open to business travel for in-person facilitation.
