About the Role
As a Cookie Crew Member at Chip City, you will be the welcoming face of the brand, creating memorable customer experiences through high energy, positivity, and a passion for cookies. You'll greet guests, offer recommendations, and ensure every interaction is hospitable and informative.
Responsibilities
- Lead with a customer-obsessed mindset by creating warm, memorable interactions and ensuring every guest feels valued.
- Prepare, bake, and serve signature cookies to high standards of quality and freshness.
- Craft and serve hot and cold beverages, ensuring orders are customized.
- Share knowledge of flavors, ingredients, and pairings with energy, pride, and enthusiasm.
- Promote and upsell cookie boxes, beverages, merchandise, and other Chip City favorites.
- Process orders and payments quickly and accurately through the POS system.
- Inform guests about the loyalty program, Chip City app, and email promotions.
- Keep service areas stocked, organized, and ready for action.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the counter, kitchen, and storefront.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workspaces to meet all health and safety standards.
- Stock and organize supplies and retail products, keeping inventory accurate and fresh.
- Prepare pickup, delivery, and catering orders.
- Monitor equipment like ovens and freezers, and promptly report any issues.
- Communicate openly with managers and teammates to keep the store running smoothly.
- Multitask and provide support wherever needed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Brings a passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences, grounded in professionalism and integrity.
- Adheres to all food safety and sanitation procedures with care and consistency.
- Works quickly, efficiently, and kindly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Successfully completes all training programs to uphold Chip City standards.
- Able to stand for extended periods and operate a cash register or related equipment.
- Capable of moving throughout the bakery, stockroom, and office areas, and lifting up to 30 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfortable performing repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Able to work in a warm, fast-paced environment around commercial ovens and baking equipment.
Skills
- Strong communication skills — friendly, clear, and confident.
- Food Protection Certification (or willingness to obtain one where required).
